The BIOS

 I Kevin ‘Vonn’ Jones, was born in Newport News, Virginia. My mom gave birth to me while she was in Job Corps in the area. God has blessed me with a pretty big family. I think he knew it would take a lot of love from a lot of different people to get me where I am today. I don’t know where I would be without the love and parental guidance from all of them. Biological, extended, and my church family. I am a living testimony that not only does it take a village, but that village is never done growing. I’ve lived in so many different areas of DC and Maryland, that If you ask me where I’m from, I won’t have an answer for you. At least not one that makes any sense. Eastover, NE on Minnesota, Kentland, Palmer Park, Fort Washington, Seat Pleasant, Brentwood, Riverdale, and on and on and on. 

Since I was five, I’ve loved video games. Mainly sports and shooters. I tried to be a youtuber way back before it was cool. I also enjoy playing sports and shooting paintballs in real life haha. I love driving, being behind the wheel with some music blasting is my therapeutic place. I’m low key a nerd so I love everything technology/computer related. If you want to talk to somebody about the stock market, real estate, or traveling, please come find me. So far, I been to H-Town, Dallas, Atlanta, New York, Orlando, Egypt, Dubai, Cancun, and Saudi Arabia if layovers count. Still got Bali, Bora Bora, Maldives, Cabo, and Dubai again on my list. So, if you’re into planning group trips, I’m the friend that doesn’t flake at the last minute.

4. All my children’s names will start with the letter K. It’s a thing my family started. 2 down who knows how many to go. 

5. I wanted to move to Austin, TX 3 years ago. What changed my mind. Jerry Fuller and the Greater Lighthouse Family. Lol

  Hi, everyone!

I’m Erica Johnson, the bride-to-be! I grew up in Maryland, raised by the absolute best parents, the late George and Marva Smith. Their love and guidance shaped me into the women I am today. I attended the University of Maryland, where I earned my degree in Psychology.

A fun fact about me, I originally wanted to become a social worker because I was in the foster care system. My passion has always been foster care, and I truly believe that foster care youth are some of the greatest gifts to the world. We are unique, and stronger than we realize. 

When I’m not planning a wedding, you can probably find me shopping! Growing up, Saturdays after cleaning meant a trip to Tyson’s Corner Mall with my mom, and let’s just say… I haven’t been the same since, LOL. Whatever its online shopping, window shopping, or heading to the mall for my must-have-plug-ins from Bath & Body Works, I love it all. 

My favorite foods are all carbs! Chicken wings, pizza, and salmon. If you know me, you should already know that depending on the restaurant, I will probably be ordering one of those three. I cherish spending time with family and friends. The memories we’ve created, the love shared, and the unwavering support I receive remind me daily of how truly blessed I am. My faith is also a huge part of my life. I love my church, where I serve on the Usher board, Outreach ministry and Youth ministry. I give all honor to God for everything he has done in my life and will continue to do!

Lastly, I love to travel! Kevin and I have some amazing adventures together, but if anyone could kindly whisper “Dubai, Bali, Maldives, and Paris into his ear, I would greatly appreciate it – LOL!

1. I was on a cover of a hair magazine.

2. I met Oprah Winfrey’s love partner Stedman Graham at Howard University at a book signing. He told me I would be very successful (I claim it, lol)

3. I am a Christmas lover by default because of my mom. Our Christmas tree and now MY Christmas tree must be up before Thanksgiving. It has been a family tradition.

4. I accomplished becoming a homeowner at the age of 27 during the peak of COVID-19.

5. I enjoy cleaning! Cleaning is very therapeutic to me.
