Lord, I’ve known Amber all my life. She is my sensitive yet fiery sister with a heart as beautiful as she is. A perfect mix! Growing up, we may not have always seen eye to eye, but I wouldn’t trade you for the world. Lol When it came to choosing who would stand by me on my special day, there was never a question, it had to be Amber. Through every season of my life, from the highest high to the lowest lows and all the moments in between, she has been right there, cheering me on, lifting me up, and of course making me laugh LOL. Sisters are one of life’s greatest gifts, and I am grateful that God chose you to be mine. 

I love you, Amber, and I am so blessed to have you by my side. 

 My Pooda/ Mocha Frappe 

 Gosh, I have known Chantel since I was seven years old, and I can already hear her screaming “I don’t play about that one!” LOL. But the truth is, she really doesn’t. Channy has been my partner in crime, my shoulder to cry on, and my safe space. She has seen me at my highest and lowest, and through it all, she has never wavered. Her love, loyalty, and support have carried me through so many seasons of life. She has laughed with me, wiped my tears, pushed me forward, and reminded me of who I am when I needed it the most. 

Having her by my side on my wedding day is not just an honor, but a full circle moment. Because no matter where life has taken us, one thing has always remained the same: Channy has been there. And I know she always will be.

I love you beyond words, Channy. Thank you for the being the best best friend ever!

 I don’t even know where to begin. You have had the biggest singular impact in my life over the last 3 years. You were the first person I met when I walked through a GLC door. Our stories have so many similarities that sometimes talking to you is like looking in a mirror. You are an inspiration and I would not even be thinking about marriage if it was not for you. 4 years ago, before I even was back in the church, I prayed that GOD would put more men in my life that I can connect with. When God started answering that prayer, It started with you. I admire you spiritually, as a man, a husband, and a father. I cannot thank you enough. 

 My Dia Dia 

  Diamond is on the quieter side, until you really get to know her, LOL! But once you do, you’ll see that she has the biggest heart. She has always been my protector in her own way. Though she doesn’t seek the spotlight, Diamond has always been a star in my eyes and in my life. Shinning beautifully in ways that only she can.

Diamond is a constant source of love and support, and I truly couldn’t imagine my special day without her standing beside me. I am beyond grateful for my baby sister and so blessed to share this moment with her.

 Bro you was the person reaching out to me the most when I was first introduced to GLC. Still don’t know how you got my number. Lol. In my head I was rejecting a relationship with you because I wasn’t used to receiving that love at that point in my life, but bro I’m so grateful that GOD made you persistent. (Sniff sniff). Bro I tell you I love you so much because I mean it from the bottom of my heart. I don’t know what I would do without you. We have seen each other grow so much, and overcome so much and once again I love you so much bro.  

 My Dazia Pooh 

If you ever wondered what it’s like to have a cousin who thinks she’s your mom, let me introduce you to Dazia! She has the biggest heart, and if you know her, you know she would give you the shirt off her back without second thought and that’s why I love her! Dazia has been my protector from day one, always looking out for me and making sure I am good. And trust me, she does not play when it comes to her little Erica- Just ask Kevin! LOL.

I am beyond blessed to have Dazia in my life, not just as family, but someone who has been loving and cared for me every step of the way through every obstacle. From possibly hitting every club in Dc to our 3am Duccini Pizza runs, Dazia has been my girl. Words can’t express how much I love you. I can’t wait to walk down the aisle with you by my side.

 Sometimes when you grow up with someone, and would do almost anything for each other, and you not biologically related, yall just magically become cousins. That’s what happened. You were the older brother I had when I was younger. Me and Jateh were the same age, and when you put him on game, you put me on game, and I looked at you for the answers on how to make it outside. And you provided those answers and more. When I found out you knew my biological cousin, it all just made sense. You really have been one of them for me since I was 16. Thank you!!! 

 My Cashy  

 When I think about my journey with Kevin, I can’t help but think about Cash. Not only has she been one of Kevin’s and I biggest supporters. She saw something special before I even realized it myself and encouraged me to take a chance. It’s a blessing to have a friend who genuinely wants to see you happy.

If it weren’t for her pushing me out of my comfort zone and reminding me that I deserve something good, who knows where we’d be? Cash belief in us, her support and incredible friendship mean the absolute world to me. 

Cashy, I am beyond grateful for you, and can’t wait to share my special day with you! Who would have thought all those game nights at your house would lead me to my future husband? LOL

 My boy your last name fits you so perfect. My mama couldn’t have inherited a better neighbor my guy. From the beginning, all you did was show love. Not only to me, but my whole family. You taught me to become comfortable with telling men close to me that I love them. To some that may sound so miniscule, but you have no idea the impact that has on me still to this day. You matured me in those moments bro and I appreciate you so much for that.

It’s funny how life works. What started as a simple coworker relationship has grown into one of my most cherished friendships. From work projects to life’s biggest milestones, Sydney has been there through ups and downs, always offering support, wisdom, and a listening ear when I needed it the most. 

As I approach the most beautiful moment of my life, I couldn’t be more grateful to have Sydney standing beside me on my wedding day. From our very first conversation in June 2015 to this very moment, our friendship has only grown stronger, and I feel so blessed to have you a part of my journey.

 George you are the first person who gave me inspiration despite being younger than me. I tell you all the time you set the example. The way you proposed, the way you love your wife and protect your family is an inspiration to me and an example of how I want to love and protect my wife and daughter. The Glory of God Is evident on your life and it’s obvious that glory has spread to your family. I am lucky and honored to be able to call you a friend, a brother, and a groomsman. Thank you my boy!!!
